Creston Art Bash!
Creston Brewery, May 24 from 6-8pm (a fund raiser for the awesome Creston Neighborhood Association).  More information

Helen DeVos Children's Hospital
Our cute little pigs have returned to our MPCU lobbies, for a good cause, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.  MPCU staff jean days and your donations into these darling banks help support wonderful programs like Child Life Services, NICU Family Support, the Center for Child Protection, and much more!  Thanks for your support.

Kids' Food Basket
In the first quarter of 2018, we raised over $1,100 for this amazing not-for-profit that focuses on attacking childhood hunger to help young people learn and live well.  They now serve nearly 7,500 kids each weekday in West Michigan through their sack supper program.  MPCU staff were able to wear jeans on certain days for contributing, and we had donation cannisters in our branch lobbies.  Thanks for your helping this super organization.

MPCU Scholarship Winners Announced!
Congratulations to Jeremiah Teesdale of Wayland, Kendall Van Reganmorter of Hudsonville, Rachel Chapman of Hastings and Hannah King of Hudsonville.  They are the recipients of My Personal Credit Union's 2018 Scholarships!  For more information on our 2019 Scholarship requirements, watch our Scholarships page.

Free Home Buyer's Classes
Enjoy free food while learning about the home buying process at one of our free Home Buyer's Classes.  You'll get your questions answered and helpful tips from our local home buying experts, and a coupon for $300 off appraisal costs at the event (limited time offer).  Even if you're just thinking about it, it's a great way start the process toward your new home.  More information.

Catherine’s Health Center
Catherine's is an important not-for-profit community-based health facility providing access to those who have nowhere else to go.  We raised $1,000 for them in the 4th quarter via staff paying to wear jeans on certain days and donation cannisters in our branch lobbies. We appreciate your generosity...and all the folks at Catherine's who provide health education, screening and treatment to those in need in our Greater Grand Rapids community.

Holiday ParadesHoliday Parade
We absolutely love participating in the Coopersville Nighttime Christmas Parade, which was Friday, Dec. 1.  As usual, the whole town seemed to show up on Main Street, and it was a blast parading through it.  It was also great seeing all the hearty folks that made it out in the cold mist at the Hudsonville Holiday Parade on November 18.  Hopefully the chocolate we handed out helped warm you up!

Urban HayDay in shorts weather on Saturday, Oct. 21!
What a beautiful day we had for this annual fall festival.  Kids enjoyed a hayride, petting goats, scarecrows, pumpkin carving, pony rides, music, cider and donuts.  We had a great time giving out free Trick or Treat Bags and talking to all the parents and kids at the Bounce House we sponsored. Check it out next year in downtown Hudsonville in front of Gemmens.

Free Community Shred Day.Car and Truck
Lots of folks got rid of their piles of paper at MPCU's Coopersville Branch on October 7th from 9am-noon.  We'll do another one of these next year, so if you missed it, keep an eye out for information on next year's event.

Davenport's Panther Palooza!
We enjoyed seeing all of the students looking for ways to get involved within their local community at this 9/8 event, just a few blocks from our Meadowbrook office.

Event BoothHispanic Festival, Aug. 25-27
Festive music and dance, lots of tasty food and futsal mania were just three of the things that made the 2017 version of this festival special.  If you missed it, be sure to catch it next year on the Calder Plaza in downtown Grand Rapids.  My Personal Credit Union's team of volunteers had a great weekend helping out under the My Personal Credit Union Welcome Tent.

Best of Creston, August 19Event Booth
For a first time event, Polar Bear Nation hit this one out of the park!  Fun games for kids all along Plainfield Ave, along with great food and drinks, was a blast.  At our Creston branch we had free face painting, popcorn and a super fun water balloon toss!  Congratulations to Creston Brewery on their one year anniversary!

2017 Del Shannon Days, Aug. 10-12 in Coopersville!
Thank you to everyone who came out and enjoyed the 2017 Del Shannon Days in Coopersville. We had a great time sponsoring Kids Fest on Thursday where we played games, rode rides, and ate FREE popcorn provided by MPCU. Friday night was the annual car cruise around town where MPCU was graciously toted around town on an old chevy truck. The event ended on Saturday with the classic car show. A big shout out to all of the volunteers and organizers for making this event happen year after year.

Pinery Park Champions!
Congratulations to the MPCU Pinery Park Little League, District 9, Division A, Girls Major Softball 2017 Champions!  They won the team tournament finale 3-2 by stealing home!  Pictured here are MPCU CEO Daniel Baines, coach Kevin Kline and Sydney Slocum (the team's 2nd baseman). Thanks for coming in to share your fantastic season with us!  They only lost two games all season!Lori's Voice

Lori's Voice...our 3rd quarter fund raiser opportunity!
This amazing, all-volunteer Coopersville organization provides equipment, educational resources and medical assistance to children with neuromuscular and other degenerative diseases.  My Personal Credit Union branches will have change cannisters available, and our staff will have jean days for small donations.  Thanks for making the lives of children with special limitations a little easier.  More info.

Berlin Fair, Marne Fairgrounds, July 4-8
Wholesome family entertainment, education and community involvement since 1855!  Wow!  We're proud to help sponsor this area's longest running fair!

Saturday Slip-n-Slide
This unique event at Rosewood Park in Jenison on June 17 had perhaps the biggest slip and slide you have ever seen!  It's always great to take part in this fund raiser.  Don't miss it next year.

Local First Street PartyLocal First Street Party
Downtown Grand Rapids was the place to be on June 3.  Don't miss out on this celebration of everything local next year.  With tons of great local drink, food, music and more, we truly look forward to it every year!

Way to show us how, Red!Bike Show
Here's a neat story about one of those key community leaders/volunteers that make our neighborhoods great places to live.  Plus, our MPCU Marne Little League team is shown motoring around the bases!  Click here to see fox17 video

Bike Show & Tour
The first annual Tour De Quarter in the City High parking lot on May 20 was a hit, with a neighborhood bike tour, a kids bike course, a vintage bike show, prizes and free swag.  We were also happy to partner with the Grand Rapids Police to provide some bike helmets for kids!

MPCU Little League TeamArt Battle For Community
Local artists, neighbors and art lovers came together on May 10 at the Creston Brewery for this unique annual event.  Artists created a themed art piece, then the art lovers battled in out via a live auction to see who would take their favorite piece home!  MPCU was a proud sponsor of this fund raiser for the Creston Neighborhood Association.

MPCU Little League Team
Our My Personal Credit Union Northern Little League team stormed the field Saturday morning (5/6/17) at the Riverside Park Opening Day Ceremonies! There's nothing like having a hot dog and learning how to play our National Pastime on a beautiful spring day.

Creston Rocks Spring Remodel Event!Event Image
We're so happy to be part of the new energy and revitalization taking place in the Creston community.  Thanks for celebrating with us on Plainfield N.E. (just N. of Leonard) on May 5, with lots of fresh popcorn, sweets, fun giveaways and prizes!  We also appreciate the folks who came out to our after hours event.
